red rooster Industrial (UK) Limited recently held their 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Meldrum House Hotel, Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
Formed in late 1988 as Steve Wright Lifting Limited, the company was initially based in the Altens area of Aberdeen. In September 1989 the company relocated to Oldmeldrum and commenced building the original factory. Since then the acquisition of all the available land has enabled the company to grow in size and prosperity and with the help of the internet is now known around the world.
In June 2006 the company changed its name to Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Ltd. The company now has Managing Director Bill Aitken at its helm, ably assisted by Engineering Director Steve Wright, Financial Director Margaret Gibb and Sales & Marketing Director John Evans. The company owes its success to its long held principle of quality and service, together with the dedication of its staff and long term suppliers.
In order to improve its service to customers in the south of the U.K. a branch office was opened in 2007 in West Bromwich. This new venture has already made a significant contribution to the company’s overall profits.
John Evans stated – “The success of the company has been mainly due to the decision to sell, hire and repair a selective range of quality products at competitive prices plus ensuring customers are given a rapid response to all enquiries.
Expansion beyond the Aberdeen area has been achieved by the partnerships formed with other lifting equipment companies throughout the U.K. and we wish to extend our thanks to each and every one of them for their past and future support. The New TCS-500 high-speed air hoist is the latest addition to the Red Rooster range of hoists. From the requests of our customers we have developed a high speed / low weight hoist built around the successful design of the TCR-250 hoist.
Weighing less than 16 KG the single fall 500 KG compact hoist has a closed height of only 410MM and can lift at 17 m/min full load and 43 m/min unloaded. The new speed adjustment screws allow the lifting and lowering speeds to be adjusted independently of each other.
In standard form the TCS air hoist can be supplied with either cord control or a shock proof polycarbonate pendant control with infinitely variable speed control gives superb control for accurate positioning. The exhaust air can easily be piped away from the working area by connecting to the exhaust silencer.
The TCS hoist can be supplied either hook suspension or built into our range of push, geared, or pneumatic trolleys. Top and bottom hooks are carbon steel with safety latches and swivels. Mechanical paddle action limits provide a positive stop for the upper and lower limits. Comes complete with a chain collector for up to 5 metre HOL.
Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Ltd have expanded their operation by the opening of a new branch in the West Midlands, and are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Palmer as Depot Manager.

It has been opened to provide a service for those of their customers located in the southern part of Britain. The location is adjacent to the M6 and M5 motorways, with links to the M1, M42 and M40 motorways and ensures easy access to most of England and Wales.
Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Ltd has been supplying pneumatic lifting equipment for purchase and hire for over 19 years. The equipment, with lifting capacities ranging from 250kg to over 75 tonnes, is used in all types of engineering and construction projects, where high duty ratings, ease of installation, and reliability are demanded. In certain configurations, it is also certified for installation in hazardous areas such as chemical plants or offshore installations.
