The system electronically monitors the load on a running line (winch, crane etc) which is displayed digitally. It will optionally monitor the length of line out and line speed (including direction) in any engineering units. It's modular design enables facilities to be added or removed as requirements change.
OPTIONS
Line speed monitoring. Line out metering (bi-directional).
Mains operation 220/110VAC.
PC interfacing + Data logging with additional hardware and software.
RUNNING LINE MONITOR TYPE SWLRLM

PRECISION TENSILE LINK SWLZ
Manufactured in capacities from 50 kgs to 5OOOkgs. Due to it's 'S' configuration this range produces exceptionally high levels of accuracy (often better than 0.1% of rated capacity). The link is non-indicating and is compatible with the type SWLPC(J) display. Suspension points are drilled and tapped to facilitate incorporation into a machine or more complex device. Alternatively it may be supplied with bow nuts fitted, or a range of hooks, clevises, links or shackles.
FEATURES
Five-wheel construction, guides rope smoothly onto the monitoring wheel.
Rope may be fitted without tools using a gloved hand, in a few minutes.
Load pin forms shaft of centre sheave.
Strain gauges mounted in shaft bore(High impact protection, IP65 dust/water ingress protection).
Wheels
mounted on sealed roller bearings.
Heavily
galvanised frame and tie bars.
Readily
interfaces with SWLPC(J) display.
Display
with 24v DC lead acid battery giving, 10 to 12 hours between charges, when line
out/speed monitoring jn addition to load monitoring) required.
Battery
charger included
Extension
cable (plug & socket ends) 10 metres
Robust
nylon reinforced plugs and sockets with locking rings.

OPTIONS
Alternative cable lengths.
Selection of fittings (eye nuts, hooks, swivels, clevises, links etc.).
Robust brief case type carrying case.
SWLZ SWITCHING DEVICE
Type SWLZ is often used as
a switching device; the measured load being used to actuate or
interrupt other operation e.g. as an overload cut out or to maintain
tension between defined limits. This is achieved by connecting
the 2 links to a special instrument with relay setpoints.
SWLZ • KIT
Type SWLZ is also supplied as a 'kit' (c/w eye suspension, type SWLPC(J) display, charger and carrying case). Typical application - guy mast tensioning and monitoring.
